Teacher training courses at EWS
If you are looking for a standard course just to obtain a certificate this is not the course for you. To be accepted on this course you need to consider qualities such as empathy, flexibility and the desire to create a good rapport with your students to be fundamental. We can guarantee that you will make significant progress in your teaching ability and will learn a variety of strategies as to how to help students learn intuitively and holistically. Obviously as a teacher you’ll need to also learn the fundamentals such as a good understanding of grammar, lesson planning, skills, classroom and student management and teaching adults and children of all ages. Our aim is to help you to get students to learn effectively through maximum production.
How does EWS adopt a natural approach?
Research has shown that when you are relaxed and having fun you learn not only more effectively but intuitively as well. Learning through intuition can be very powerful as it helps you to learn without thinking. This may seem a bit strange because many adults firmly believe that they learn through logic and analytical thinking whereas the reality of the matter is when we learn subconsciously we learn better.
Why train with us?
Teacher training at English Well Spoken will not only help prospective teachers to learn strategies or lesson planning, methodology, communication but also how to help students learn in a holistic and empathetic manner. Our courses are gold-standard: your progress will be closely monitored by your tutor and we will make every effort to help you make maximum progress in the time that you are with us. Our trainers have over 30 years of experience in the field of TEFL and teacher training.
How will progress be monitored?
You will have an individual learning plan that will be regularly updated to help you progress while you are on the course and to take away with you. You will be required to produce assessments, write lesson plans and give presentations, sometimes individually sometimes in small groups, that will be marked by our tutors. In the last week there will be a final exam and the assessments and presentation you will produce will count in the final mark.
Is there a final certification?
At the end of the course you will be given a TEFL certificate (20 hours).
If you wish to apply to do one of these courses we would prefer the following requirements:
